The architect Giuseppe Cavalli could never imagine becoming a key figure in the music of all time.

It was he who planned the church where her parents were married by Giuseppe Verdi, as well as the neoclassical palace of Via Roma in Busseto (today palace Orlandi) where Verdi lived together before marriage to Josephine Strepponi.

It was precisely this cohabitation that created scandal in Busseto, so that the Maestro, to avoid retaliation and gossip, moved out of the town in the near estate of Sant’Agata.

After years of neglect, it seems that the building was purchased by SIAE, to open an advanced school of music.
