The birthplace of Arturo Toscanini is found at via Borgo Tanzi n. 13 and houses a collection of heirlooms, personal objects and photographs of the great orchestral director.
The house was purchased by his children and donated to the city. All of the exhibited material comes from his Milanese home of via Durini and his American mansion in Riversale
The birthplace of Arturo Toscanini, now a Museum, is located in the working class area over the creek and near the beautiful Parco Ducale in Parma.
Among the rooms with low ceilings where the great Maestro, who owes much of his musical passion to the strong influence of Verdi, cultivated his passion for music, we can see fragments of life, relics and objects that belonged to him.
With the help of montages of images, video and hypertext we can reconstruct an exciting journey around and inside the life and work of a man and a musician who has managed to score a few others at the time in which he was living.
