VerdiMuseum – The Digital Open Museum® of Giuseppe Verdi

VerdiMuseum – The Digital Open Museum® of Giuseppe Verdi is an innovative project that combines technology and culture to recount the life, places and international legacy of Giuseppe Verdi. Created with the aim of promoting the tangible and intangible heritage linked to the Maestro and his homeland, the Digital Open Museum® is a multimedia hub that can be accessed anytime, anywhere.

The platform integrates a multilingual and interactive website, web app and mobile app, bringing together text, images, videos, podcasts and immersive content. In addition, thanks to the creation of geo-referenced itineraries and gamification tools, visitors will be able to discover Verdi’s places first-hand, with themed itineraries combining music, nature and food and wine, and connections with cities and theatres linked to Verdi in Italy and around the world.

All content will be validated by a technical-scientific committee composed of experts and cultural institutions, ensuring authority and quality. The experience will be enriched by a “Digital Passport” system, with which users can collect virtual stamps via QR codes or by correctly answering thematic quizzes, encouraging active and engaging exploration of the territories.

VerdiMuseum is not just a digital project, but a network of relationships: public bodies, cultural institutions, schools, research centres and tour operators are invited to collaborate in order to broaden its reach and strengthen the link between culture, community and local development. The official launch is scheduled for September 2025, to coincide with the Festival Verdi in Parma, with a presentation event and press conference in Parma. VerdiMuseum will thus become a virtual space that is always open, capable of preserving and recounting Verdi not only as a musical genius, but as a living part of Italian and international cultural identity.
